Active Door: In a double door unit, this is the one that will be used as the primary door. This door will have the operating handle set, the inactive door will have the "dunmmy" handle.

Brickmould: Moulding placed around the outside of the door's frame, makes the transition from the brick to the door frame.

Casing: The interior moulding generally 2-1/2" wide used to bridge the gap between the door frame and the interior wall.
Door Stop: The part of the door frame where the door rests against when closed.
Double Acting Door: A door which is hinged in such a way that it may be swung open both inwards and outwards
Flush Bolt: Hardware used with double doors that holds stationary door closed and can be unbolted to allow both doors to be opened.
